11. Nainital:

Packed around a wide, lush volcanic lake and Nainital is Kumaon’s biggest town and favourite hill retreat.

For travelers, it’s an accessible town to sit back and unwind and eat healthily, and go horseback ride or paddling on the lake.

12. Haridwar:

It is situated at the tip where the Ganges arises from the Himalaya and Haridwar is Uttarakhand’s religious Hindu city.

The absolute number of people crowding around Har-ki-Pauri Ghat give Haridwar a turbulent but worshipful feel all around.

13. Udaipur:

India’s romantic white city has stolen my heart. And I love this city a lot.

It’s small and wraps around four lakes, with Lake Pichola being the most popular spot.

You must stay in my favorite guesthouse there -a palace with lake views for under $50-$200 a night.

14. Hampi:

The most epic place in India is Hampi, hands down really beautiful.

This is Jurassic Park meets the Flintstones with huge boulders you can just picture dinosaurs walking through, awesome looking!

You should also visit nearby temples and surprising caves of Badami and Aihole.

15. The Andaman Islands

These are the epitome of perfection- white sand, clear water – basically like the  Maldives.

You can visit here with family in witer specially.

16. Leh

Leh is said to be the most beautiful place not just in India, but  also in the world.

You can trek through the snowy mountains and see crystal clear glacial lakes, or go on a safari to try and spot a snow leopard.

18. Rath Yatra and the Sea Beach-Puri

One of the four must-visit pilgrimage sites for Hindus (Char-Dham) is Puri. It is a beach city with its most famous attraction as the Jagannath temple.

Known as the resting place of Lord Shiva. Puri is in the state of Orissa is situated-alongside the coast of-Bay of Bengal.

This town is home to one of the most sacred temples in Hindu mythology the famous Jagannath Temple.

The majestic history and heritage of Puri date back to the 3rd century B. C. Puri, Konark and Bhubaneshwar complete the Golden Triangle of Orissa.

It has religious significance and cultural heritage being the centers of tourism in this state.

There are a lot of places near Puri and that one must visit, like the Chilika Lake, Puri beach, Gundicha Ghar and the very famous Sun temple of Konark.

Puri is soon turning into an industrial hub also with major manufacturing companies coming here.

Cave art is taken to new heights at Ellora Caves and it is one of the largest monastery-temple cave complexes in the world cut from the rock.

Ellora has 100 different caves, though only 34 are open to the public.

It is covers an area double the size of Parthenon in Athens Constructed between the seventh and ninth centuries. The caves are devoted to Hindu, Buddhist and Jainism deities.

20. Mathura:

Renowned for being the birthplace of the Hindu God Sri Krishna, Mathura is one of Hinduism’s seven holy cities.

The town is scattered with a lot of Temples from several ages and the extent of the holy Yamuna River which flows past here.

Today all that’s left of the ancient city are the beautiful carvings rescued from ruins and now on display in the Archaeological Museum.

21. Ooty:

The Golden Temple is in Amritsar, a unique Sikh temple -made of gold- that is the most stunning temple I’ve ever seen.

23. Mysore:

Mysore is my favourite Indian city and there are so many parks, so little traffic and the market is extraordinary!

Then this is where you want to be.

How about visiting the most exotic city in India along with your best friend and family?
